Food
The large and filling burgers are delicious and fresh with a very tender bite. A popular selection is the Maggie (named after Whitey’s wife)—a cheeseburger served with mushrooms and grilled onions. The fries are no small potatoes either, as they are prepared on the spot. They are a tasty complement to any main course. If you are looking to satiate a large appetite, try the chili burger. It is served with a half-pound of Whitey’s famous chili. Jon Bigadza’s favorite burger includes lettuce, onions, mayo and bacon served on a pretzel roll.
If you are not a burger lover, Whitey’s has many other options. Chili, pizza, salads, ribs, steak and chili dogs are all on the menu. Also, Whitey's now serves Jim Beam Bourbon Premium Steak Chili. Eat it alone or add it to a burger as the Jim Beam chili burger is soon to be unveiled.
In addition to burgers, seafood is also a common theme. You can order the fish dinner, which includes three large deep-fried fish fillets and a side of fries—a hearty meal that is extremely hard to finish, but still very much enjoyable. Mussels and shrimp selections are also offered on the menu.
Thursday’s happy hour is a popular one as everyone enjoys the “We bring the Wings, You bring the Sauce” night. You can bring your own sauce creation to the bar to enjoy with an order of wings, but there’s no pressure. Whitey’s also provides options for those who opt out of bringing their own.
