Vintage Americana packed inside a cozy café
By Marissa DeSantis, Special to Metromix
It could be a parallel universe where everybody’s name is "Hun," where virtually every surface is made of chrome or vinyl, and where 30 percent of the meat on your sandwich actually fits between the two slices of bread.
Or maybe it’s just Somer’s Diner (formerly Ruthie & Moe’s), a classic, tiny café so genuinely steeped in vintage Americana (and a few charming anachronisms) that it has to be good.
