Outstanding service scores another point for Lucky’s. The friendly, efficient staff seems to not just tolerate their jobs, but actually enjoy them. Then again, working at Lucky’s isn’t just a job—it’s a commitment to something bigger. Through her business enterprises, Haviland is active in both local and national community projects, including Think Outside the Bottle, a campaign against bottled water. “It’s a small business’s responsibility to be involved in the community,” Haviland said. “The people who work here, and a lot of the people who come here to eat, love being a part of that.”
