When Lucky’s first opened, it ran primarily as a neighborhood coffee shop. However, ever since the café’s food business started booming, it has drawn a wide assortment of people from all over. The café has regular customers who drive from cities as far away as Akron and Columbus, Haviland said. On any given weekend, it’s not unusual to eat at Lucky’s amidst young families, older couples and groups of boisterous college students. “People tell me that Lucky’s has given them a reason to come back to the Tremont neighborhood, which is great,” she said.
