Bubba didn’t learn his slow-roasted secrets over night. Before he was sacking his way to three Pro Bowl appearances, he was under the culinary wing of his uncle, “Daddy Jr.,” a seasoned grill master who owns his own renowned BBQ joint in Jacksonville, Florida.
Today, Bubba has translated that training into a bevy of dishes accented with his award-winning sauces and rubs. Succulent sandwiches include the likes of mouth-meltingly tender pulled pork, which is smoked with applewood for 14 hours before being hand-pulled and basted in Bubba’s signature sauce.
Entrées comprise of baby back ribs, short ribs, grilled and smoke chicken, and smoked beef brisket. Each is grilled and basted to such perfection that Bobby Flay himself would be proud. Even the sides are great. Coleslaw, mac n’ cheese, sweet potato fries—these portions are worthy of their own meal.
But for those who want to try Bubba’s ultimate masterpiece, look no further than the Bad 2D Bone baby back rib steak. This juicy slab of meat is dry-rubbed, marinated for 24 hours and slow smoked with Ohio-grown applewood.
And the best thing about it? No bones!
