2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced the 2010 inductees on Tuesday, Dec. 15 and the list includes ABBA, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies and The Stooges. The 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performer inductees were chosen by more than 500 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Music artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first recording is released.
Other inductees receiving the Ahmet Ertegun Award include David Geffen, songwriters Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil, Elle Greenwich, Jeff Barry, Jesse Stone, Mort Shuman and Otis Blackwell.
The 2010 induction ceremonies (which also will be the Rock Hall's 25th annual event) will take place Monday, March 15 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. The city hosted the 24th annual induction ceremonies in April; the annual event will make its return to Cleveland in 2012.
