The Doors without Jim Morrison? Blasphemy! But surviving guitarist Robby Krieger and keyboardist Ray Manzareck have been trying to get by without their old icon in recent years, first with assistance from Ian Astbury (seen above) of British rockers the Cult, then former Fuel frontman Brett Scallions. Original Doors drummer John Densmore disapproves of the whole project, and sued in 2003 to make the band change their name from the Doors of the 21st Century. The courts agreed with Densmore, and what masquerades as the Doors these days now goes by the moniker Riders on the Storm.
