The band that brought us the “Bee Girl” (in the video for 1993 smash hit, “No Rain”) became another casualty of the grunge era when lead singer Shannon Hoon died of a cocaine overdose in 1995. Pseudo-reunited in 2006, with Travis Warren (pictured, far right) joining the group as lead vocalist, Blind Melon released an album of new material and toured. Things went bad with Warren in 2008 and the band briefly announced his replacement as one Chris Shinn, then retracted that and now claim to be looking for a new frontman.
