It was a moving movement in Regina, Saskatechewan, when Wynonna Judd's husband, drummer Michael Scott "Cactus" Moser, took the stage.
Three months ago, his leg was amputated above the knee following an August motorcycle accident in South Dakota. (The two had just gotten married in June.) Doctors also had to perform surgery on one of his hands.
"It's been a long way from Aug. 18 to here," Wynonna, 48, told the crowd, according to a rave review of her concert in the Regina Leader-Post. "It's truly a miracle."
The audience gave Moser, 55, a lengthy standing ovation on Tuesday night when he performed with his wife at the kick-off of her Rockin' Christmas tour.
In August, Wynonna resumed touring 10 days after the accident, but told CMT that while she was on the road with the rest of the band, she would be waiting "lovingly and patiently for my husband to return."
Earlier this month, Moser told The Boot he was ready to get back to work. "Everybody who has been through this say it's the muscle between the ears that you have to work out to be OK."
