The summer movie season sprints out of the gate this weekend with “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” the presumptive blockbuster offering fans a look at the backstory of one of their favorite mutant superheroes. “Wolverine” joins a rapidly expanding club including “Batman Begins,” “Casino Royale,” “Star Wars” (episodes I through III) and May 8’s “Star Trek,” that prove movies focused on the early days of beloved characters are definitely a hot trend.
