You can't deny that this little village has something great going for it. Three places to drink eat and relax all on one street. The Gamekeeper's grouping of restaurants/bars have been around for over 35 years and haven't lost sight of what good service means. Service staff is friendly knowledgeable and very attentive. The food seems to be prepared with an understanding of good flavor and combination. Can't go wrong by dining here or at the West End Bistro or 87 West next door.

worse place ever. Tall bawled guy who claims to own the place was so rude to us. No wonder it's always very slow in there. You are chasing all the people away! IF you want to run a successful business you need to be NICE to customers.

The Verve has the menu of a creative Midwestern restauraunt that is a "must go to," if you are in the Cleveland area. The Restaurant is on Cleveland's historic Carnegie Avenue and has huge windows facing this main Cleveland arterie. There is free downtown parking directly beside the restaurant. The menu is inovative and the food is excellent. I loved my entree the "Lamb Stroganoff." The wine list is extensive, affortable, and exclusive at the sametime. I chose to drink beer, and the beerlist is taylored to match the food. There are many Belgium beers, and Belgium style beers which are my favorite to pair with food. And our server Michael was efficient and knowledgeable. We'll definately return.

Club Lust is one of the best clubs in Downtown Cleveland. I really enjoyed the modern/luxurious scenery. Also it attracts a mature crowd which is a good quality. Club Lust reminds me alot of Synergy.

Loved the variety on the burgers. Super moist, not too greasy. I had the Jersey with pork roll. Pork roll in Ohio, shocking! The milkshakes were perfect, Chocolate Espresso with a shot of Frangelico (yummy, smooth, pieces of dark choc. espresso beans). The sausage melted in my mouth, very mild taste. Service was great, even though it was opening night. Can't wait to go back for the Pastrami burger and try out the wings.

If this would have been our first visit to LaBoca, we would have never returned. Sadly, the menu has changed, and not for the better. The first dozen times we frequented this restaurant, the food was terrific with choices available for everyone. As of this writing, they removed their best appetizers and substituted a variety of cold plates or seafood only appetizers which may present a problem for some diners. The scallop dinner that was ordered contained so much grit that it had to be sent back. The replacement was a squash ravioli that was swimming in a non-discript liquid that was not eaten either. The savory salmon dinner that was wonderful is now a sweet as candy dish with mushy squash due to the menu change. The manager did remove our two drinks from the bill due to the horrendous food. Maybe they should have removed the dinner. LaBoca - wake up and restore your old menu - sometimes newer is not better. You had a winning combination before.

DaveB wrote about Medina Steakhouse & Saloon

My wife and I have been to this restaurant on three occasions. My wife had a steak the first and third visit and I had the filet on all 3 visits. My steak was good the first 2 times we ate there but on our last visit something was wrong. I ordered the mushrooms and onions on the side and put the toppings on the steak with each individual bite. It tasted strange so I took a few bites without any toppings. It had a bitter burnt taste. It wasn't burnt or overcooked but something was wrong with the meat. I tasted my wife's steak and it tasted normal. She tasted mine and agreed something was wrong. She also told me at that time that her steak had a similar bitter taste on our first visit but didn't mention it at the time. So on a total of 5 steaks ordered at this restaurant we had 2 bad steaks. I told our waitress of the problem she told the chef who said there was nothing wrong with the steak, it was normal. I was shocked at this response. No effort to try to make things right. With a bill in excess of $80 I expect some attempt to satisfy the customer. This restaurant made absolutely no effort. The worst customer service I ever experienced at a restaurant. I will never pass through their door again.

RJHarvey wrote about The Flying Monkey Pub

I just got home from the bar. I live in the neighborhood and was quite surprised at the service I received this evening. Accompanied by a friend and being the only African American in the entire bar, I was attempting to get service around 145AM and was completed ignored. There were several people who tried to order as well and left but I was asked to Leave by the police because I reached across the bar to get the bartenders attention. If I am resident of Tremont that recommending this place to anyone would be a bad idea. I strongly feel that if there a demand on ones time and job related stress should be taken into consideration before resulting in calling the police. It was a poor decision on behalf of the establishment in a poor economy. Anyone who is sane should be able to spend money in a place that is usually empty all other nights of the week. Dealing with customers is the nature of the business and the inability to do so is a management issue. Obviously this has nothing to do with my liquor intake as I was only able to take in 2 drinks due to service and the fact that I am sending this update at 3am lets all involved know how frustrating this entire process was.

I'd say this is a good, but not great place. Went there because Panos (owned by same people) recently closed. Loved the burgers at Panos. The burgers here weren't as good -- small things like at Panos the shredded the cheese so it melted more uniformly and the bun/roll on my burger was toasted almost to the point of being burned. Like my roll toasted, but not crunchy. Service was excellent.

jmarkert wrote about La Cave du Vin

Sometimes trapsing around in Coventry during the evening hours can be quite taxing on my soul and quite honestly, my dignity. Coventry, a once thriving hippie mecca has in recent years when the sun gues down seems to look more like a scene from Night at the Roxbury. When you're tired of shoving your way through a crowded bar filled with guys with too much product, too much cologne and too much faux machismo, La Cave du Vin is a little enclave of sanity and class. The bartenders there know their stuff which is quite impressive considering they have hundreds of beers and wine. It can get a little pricey, but it's worth it. The atmosphere at La Cave du Vin is quite subtle. The lighting consists of dim lights, candles and the white glow of the wall of beer in coolers along the back. Check it out, you will be saisfied.

clwsayers wrote about Privé Hair Salon & Day Spa

I recently purchased a gift certificate to use at Prive for acryllic nails. This service was listed on their website and I was really excited to use it for my upcoming wedding. Upon trying to book my appointment, I found out they don't have someone in house to do my nails but she "offered to refer me to someone else". Well, I had bought my GC already so that was of no help to me . She then replied that she couldn't help me and that if I wanted my nails done, I would come in February when she would have hired someone. This is a case of blatant false advertising, poor customer service and frankly a huge waste of my time and money. I would really recommend to stay away from this establishment. You will be ripped off and taken advantage of. I am sorely disappointed. Don't support this business!!!

My friends and I go up to the Fox & Hound all the time! I love their $2 draft days on Tuesdays and their food is always great! I recently had a 30th birthday party for my husband up there and I didn't have to do a thing, they have an event planner that helps with everything. She was great and we had the best waitresses! We will be back soon!

Westsideoldie commented on Bottom line

I'd say this reviewer is pretty much right. I could put up with it if the ribs and food were really good. Have had both chicken and ribs there and neither were tender. Just can't understand why this place seems to have appeal. Must be a lot of people who like their ribs tough and chewy.

Westsideoldie wrote about Fat Heads Brewery & Saloon

The food is great and the service was fast, friendly and polite. Had wings with chipotle honey sauce and they were excellent -- flavorful and meaty. My friend had a burger which she liked and I had the divine pork sandwich which lived up to its name. I really liked their thick chips also. As for the beer, tried em all in their sampler -- well all except the one they were out of. The beer is mediocre. My first clue should have been when they described their Czech Pilner with hops from Slovenia. Why would you advertise a beer as a Czech pilsner using hops from someplace else? The head Hunter IPA might be to your taste if you like a heavy layering of grapefruit as your citrus flavor. I can buy lemon or lime, but grapefruit? Oh well, maybe its a Pittsburg thing. I did like the Bumbleberry Honey Blueberry and the Prohibition Pauly. Still yet, you take the good with the bad and the food and service are so good that I'll overlook the beer issues. Real mixed crowd with a lot of serious eating going on. Saw plenty of stuff going to other tables that I wanted to try. I'm defintely going back.
