'I Love the 80s' vball tournament
Sweat bands, snap bracelets, neon beach wear, cheesy 80s music … sounds like a scene out of a ‘Saved by the Bell’ episode, right?
Wrong. (Well, that's not completely wrong because "Saved by the Bell" did really have all of those things, but that’s not what we’re talking about in this case).
Clevelanders busted out their old semi-vintage gear Saturday for the first ever "I Love the 80s" volleyball tournament at Battery Park. Teams of four battled it out for the title, while also drinking and soaking up the sun.
At the end of the day, team "Simply Irresistible" came out on top.
