It's Haidet. Ryan Haidet. I'm the new guy in town.
For the last four years I've been invading the airwaves as a personality in morning radio with a trio of stations in Akron. On your way to work you may have heard me dishing the dirt on traffic conditions, news and entertainment–with a heavy focus on reality television. After saying goodbye on the air a few weeks ago with 94.9 WQMX, 97.5 WONE and 1590 WAKR, I officially begin this next chapter of my life–as a producer for Metromix.
I just started, so take it easy.
After graduating in 2007 with a degree in magazine journalism, I joined the team at Rubber City Radio Group where I quickly fell in love with being an entertainment informant. I dig giving the grit on all the fun that's happening in Hollywood and around town.
My guiltiest pleasure is definitely reality television. I'm a self-described reality geek. If you ask somebody for one tiny detail about my life, they will simply say "Survivor." It's true. While many people are casual viewers, I turned my passion into a paycheck by becoming a correspondent for RealityTVMagazine.com in 2006. Since hopping on board there, I have covered the live "Survivor" finales in Los Angeles and New York City gaining experience on the red carpet. My love of reality television was also featured each morning on WQMX as I delivered the drama about what happened on all the shows the night before and what was coming soon.
While reality television may be a guilty pleasure, I also have a strong interest in the Halloween season. Since the year 2000, I've been busy bringing screams to the city of Akron as an employee of The Haunted Schoolhouse. Throughout the years, my duties there have evolved, but my interests in having fun remain the same. Yes, some people look at this as a goofy gig, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. What other job allows you to drive around in a hearse dressed like a zombie? It's a total blast!
You can be certain that my twist on Halloween will haunt Metromix once the spooky season arrives. We will have all the haunted houses and eerie events you could ask for. Stay tuned...
Outside of work, I'm always looking for random things to do, and for the best way to have a good time. I share a very close bond with my family and friends, and I am excited to extend my love of fun to all of you.
I honestly can't wait to see what new twists and turns Metromix will deliver in the years to come. Thank you for welcoming me on this new adventure. Strap on your harness, put your arms up and take the ride with me.

Welcome to the team Ryan! I'm hoping to get him hooked on my reality television guilty pleasure -- 'Teen Mom' and '16 and Pregnant.' :-)
