Cleve-Lens: Run for the Border team photos 2011
An estimated 1,200 runners celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a fun 5K race through downtown Cleveland. Each two-person team had to make several stops along the route to complete a task before moving closer to the finish line.
One of those tasks was right in front of our headquarters at WKYC Channel 3 News on Lakeside Ave.
When teams arrived at our stop, they grabbed big sombreros before posing for a quick photo in front of the Metromix banner alongside a giant cactus made out of balloons.
At one point, the line for photos got so crazy that the race actually became a stampede.
