Photos from the summer's largest Italian street festival in Little Italy
Little Italy's Feast of the Assumption, one of the year's most anticipated events, drew thousands of people to its weekend-long street party.
The 111th annual festival featured carnival games and rides, live musical performances, and (the icing on the cake) food vendors galore. Restaurants along Murray Hill and Mayfield roads set up food tents outside their businesses, and served everything from lobster, crab cakes, pasta and strombolis, to cannolis, gelatos and Italian ices.
Check out our photos to see if you or your friends were "flashed" at the annual event.
