Amateur fighting series
The popularity of mixed martial arts fighting has grown to the point that sports bars all over Northeast Ohio fill up every time a UFC fight is on TV. So imagine the crowd a live fighting series would draw that featured a guest appearance from UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. That was Saturday at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sheffield Village. Live music kicked off the event followed by a series of fights. A portion of the proceeds was donated to Freely...Freely!, a local non-profit organization.
