Opening day at Forti's
April 10, 2009
Forti's Bourbon, Beer & Eatery was a full house Friday afternoon before the Cleveland Indians' kicked off the 2009 season with its first game at Progressive Field.
Opening day is always a tradition and giant celebration in C-town, and even though rain delayed the game, downtown was still a sea of red, white and blue throughout the afternoon, evening and night. When the Indians' finally took to the field again at about 9:20 p.m. (more than five hours after the game began), the fans continued to cheer the team on through the last inning.
Metromix was on site with the hundreds of fans that packed into Forti's for some pre-game partying. We gave out free taxi vouchers, movie tickets, DVDs, baseball game tickets and more to several lucky fans. Check out our photo gallery to see if you and your friends were "flashed."
