Eight lanes, a handful of photos and the following descriptions can't possibly do justice to the role that bowling plays in local Cleveland culture. Think about it: you've got an excuse to get friends and family in one spot, eat food, drink beer, toss a few heavy balls around, and most importantly, avoid the cold.
 
Furthermore, research shows that the per head cost of a bowling night out is pretty darn cheap. This Obama stimulus package might do well if 'bowling stipends' are involved.  Laid off? Bad credit? Bowl away the stress in the U.S. Bowling for fun and profit might not be a bad career option for some.
