Harbor Inn .5K 2011
Some people are made for marathons. Others are made for really shorter races ... that also end with a big 'ol party!
That's exactly what went down Saturday at the second annual Harbor Inn .5K. More than 400 runners showed up dressed in spandex, wedding dresses, a Flinstones' car, even a pair of giant scissors to race around the parameter of the Harbor Inn. No joke. The race was not even half a mile, hence the .5K title.
After the race, it was time for the long party to begin. Lots of drinking (who can pass up $2 beers?), live music from Cleveland's Breakfast Club and wacky awards for best spandex outfit, most creative costume and more were all part of the fun.
All proceeds benefitted the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland. A fun run for a great cause … enough said!
