Cinco de Mayo at Zocalo 2010
Was Wednesday Cinco de Mayo or Cinco de “Zocalo?”
It was both, actually. Hundreds—and we mean hundreds—of Clevelanders packed into Zocalo to celebrate the Mexican holiday. Mustaches, maracas and sombreros were the day’s most popular accessories. Of course tequila and Mexican beer were the drinks of choice.
The party started in the early afternoon, the music was loud and the sun was shining. Rain rolled in later in the evening, but that didn’t stop anyone from having a good time. In fact, the celebration went into the wee hours of the night.
