Celebration of the Hop IPA festival
The first of many Cleveland Beer Week events unfolded at Fat Head's Brewery and Saloon on Friday and Saturday night. The popular brewpub hosted the two-day long Celebration of the Hop IPA festival to kickoff the second annual Cleveland Beer Week.
Dozens of beer-loving Clevelanders got to choose from more than 35 world-class IPA and double IPA samples. Participating breweries included Buckeye, Great Lakes, Hoppin' Frog, Victory, Brew Kettle, Thirsty Dog, Cornerstone and Southern Tier. While the crowd was imbibing on award-winning brews and enjoying live entertainment, the judges were busy narrowing down their choices for the event's biggest award—Best in Show.
The Brew Kettle walked away with the coveted title (and an awesome "wrestling" trophy belt) proving once again that Cleveland can be a strong contender in any competition.
