Spitfire Saloon

The Spitfire is home to the punk music scene. Located just across the street from the Lakewood border, the bar doesn’t shy away from its culture. Posters and bumper stickers seem to shout at you from the walls. The jukebox is all punk music. The menu is hot pockets and soup.

The saloon has more than 80 kinds of beer including a plethora of imports and seasonal drafts. As you would imagine, there is also a large selection of whiskey. Bands play every weekend and the bar rarely charges cover. During a recent daytime visit, a Cheech and Chong movie was playing on DVD. But don’t be fooled by the anarchy signs, as the bartender told us all kinds are welcome and, afterall, it is all about having a good time.

But don’t think you can come here and act like d---.
