Where mainstream is rejected

“And you’re a prima ballerina on a spring afternoon…change on into the wolfman howling at the moon.” HOOOWWW! Instantly hooked by setting foot in the door, the Spitfire Saloon is definitely not suffering from a “Personality Crisis,” but what a perfect song to welcome a first-timer. The song spilled out into the street through the bar’s only window, the seemingly always propped open front door.
Immediately thoughts of an old friend and die-hard Ramones fanatic were resurrected. It was the middle of the 80s and when the question was posed to her during a classic American family dinner, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” A moment of pause and careful fork on plate placement produced the response, “I just want to rock.” This would be her bar.
