View Ultra-Lounge and Nightclub offers an upscale club experience with a twist. Located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, View is modeled after clubs in New York, Las Vegas and South Beach. The club prides itself on introducing a more cosmopolitan approach to the Cleveland bar scene with its innovative architecture, technology and stellar bottle service. A perfect spot for after-work happy hours and parties, later in the evening the venue transforms itself into a popular dance spot with a different theme each night.

Atmosphere: This high-energy venue, decked out in visually appealing lighting and video effects, offers the best of both worlds in the Gateway district. There are plenty of areas to lounge with a cocktail along with a variety of places to dance, drink and otherwise enjoy yourself.

The venue offers six spaces to choose from depending on your mood: main bar and lounge, main dance floor and nightclub, VIP lounge, executive suite, platinum stage and a huge rooftop patio complete with four cabanas, full-service bar, 20-foot high definition outdoor screen, and amazing views of downtown Cleveland.

Drinks: The bottle service at View is what most patrons value the most about the venue. Comfortable lounge areas provide a great space for relaxing and people watching. Any high-end vodka, gin, rum or even champagne is available. If you’re not interested in taking part in a bottle, the fully-stocked bars will offer anything you want.

In late May/early June, a wine bar will be opening inside View. Open from 5-10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, this addition will offer wine-tasting machines and tapas. In keeping with its lounge theme, the venue will be adding some sleek new furniture and tables to make the wine bar “a true ultra-lounge experience.”

Insider tips: Clubgoers who really want to live it up can rent out the executive suite that offers a private room with a two-way mirror, private bathroom, personal security guard, controlled ambient lighting, dedicated server, curtains upon request, plasma television and “luxurious furnishings.” Perfect if you want to pretend you're Jay-Z or Beyonce for the night.

View prides itself on its themed events, with every Wednesday featuring 80’s alternative.

Thursdays feature a live performance by “Le Petite Coquette” and theatrical dance from 10 p.m. to close. Drink specials, including $3 shots, domestics and cosmopolitans are offered with the $10 cover charge.

Salsa Fridays are popular and feature free salsa lessons for all skill levels from 9-10 p.m.

Sexy Saturdays highlight the best of all things Cleveland: Great Lakes Brewery and other noteworthy area organizations are featured weekly with drink specials and DJs Jon Doe and Thaiger.

Red Carpet Sundays features “the most celebrity athlete, and star-studded, hip-hop night in Cleveland with DJ Steph Floss.”

Bottom line: View Ultra-Lounge & Nightclub is a truly unique venue with a versatile and upscale atmosphere. The rooftop bar is a great alternative in the warmer months if you’ve had enough of the Velvet Dog.
