Inside: House of Cues

Located in Cleveland’s bustling Warehouse District, you’ll find a laid-back billiards hall by the name of House of Cues. The venue offers a crowd-free spot where patrons can meet for drinks, shoot some pool and nosh on some pretty good Mexican cuisine.

Atmosphere: A good destination for some recreation and relaxation, The House of Cues has many loyal followers but is hardly ever packed, allowing patrons to really unwind in the cozy atmosphere. The dark, wooded interior of the pool hall is filled with tables for dining and games and gives off a laid-back vibe. On weekends and before games, the place livens up a little and is home to some pretty competitive pool sharks.

Menu: It’s a little random that House of Cues specializes in Mexican fare but we’re not complaining—we never turn down a good burrito. The venue is open for lunch and dinner during the week, specializing in burritos and fajitas. You’ll also find a slew of affordable entrées like salads, burgers and wraps.

Drinks: The large hardwood bar is home to an abundance of drink specials and all the usual standbys including premium liquors, imports and domestics. Although the venue offers wine and martinis, its known more as a shot-and-a-beer type bar. Happy hour runs from 4-7 p.m. and features half-priced drinks.

Games: During the week, all pool tables are $10 an hour and $12 on weekends. The venue also has a private room with two pool tables that is perfect for parties and is available for no additional charge.

Specials: If you’re heading to an event in Cleveland, present your ticket to the same day concert or sporting event and get half-priced appetizers before or after the event to receive a free hour of pool. *Thursdays: $5 burritos

*Fridays: $5 appetizers
